I read the update concerning General Conference today, but didn't see much that was of interest. They haven't passed any changes to the Book of Discipline or new resolutions yet. They are working in sub-committees I believe.
Even though tomorrow is Sunday, it is still considered a work day for General Conference. After worship in the morning, the delegates will have to meet with their committees. They have approximately 1,500 pieces of legislation to get through next week.
Today was a down day at our home. We try to make Saturday as low key as possible. I did some laundry because I don't want to do any tomorrow.
Tomorrow is Faith Promise Sunday with Fred Chase being the guest speaker. Faith Promise is our mission budget for the year. This year the goal is $15,000. We probably will make that goal with the pledges. There is a pitch-in after church. Our kids love these. They get to try food that we don't fix at home very often.
The kids are in bed. My turn.
